Ethics, winter break session: I remember it clearly! I still think it's probably not possible to really teach people ethics without getting into ultimate issues like religion and metaphysics. But, you can probably still trade on people's generally shared moral assumptions about things like truth, lies, cheating, etc. and get them to usefully consider being ethical journalists or whatnot.
Anyway, I'm really glad you're still at the j-school. I still think you're one of the best professors around.
